Today I’m all about blogs – the great inbound marketing tool. Firstly, what is “inbound marketing”? Inbound marketing is about bringing the customers (supporters & donators) to you by putting out remarkable content. It’s a bit like going fishing really – you’ll need great bait if you’re going to catch the big one.
Inbound marketing replaces more traditional marketing methods like advertisements, which push the message onto the target audience, rather than attracting the audience to the message. In other words, traditional marketing methods are just plain annoying to the consumer!
If you’re new to the idea of inbound marketing, this “Ultimate To-Do List” by Lindsay Kolowich of Hubspot is a great place to start. There’s quite a lot to take in so I’m just going to focus on why a blog should form part of your inbound strategy.
